Victoria Mngomezulu a, mother of 5 children from Mtubatuba, has been announced the grand prize winner in the Toughees School Shoes, Shining Star competition. Her prize is R100 000 in cash. The Mngomezulu family made an all expenses paid trip down to Durban for the official handing over ceremony, at the Futura head office in Pinetown, on Tuesday the 25th of May 2010. Victoria says that her family will use the money to build a roof over three rooms in the home they are in the process of building and the balance, will be used to provide her children with the education that she and her husband did not have. She went on to say that she has always invested in Toughees school shoes for each of her children, as they are hard wearing and save her money in the long run. Her family definitely puts their shoes to the test, one of her daughters, two of her children travel approximately 50km to school every day! Futura Footwear – the makers of Toughees School Shoes, have a long tradition of being good corporate citizens and are proud to have been able to provide the Mngomezulu family, with this life changing prize. |
